چکیده

The normal operation of the Yulangpei tailings reservoir is affected by landslide stability. In this paper, taking main and side slopes near dam bank ditch as an example, water–soil coupling theory applied to comprehensively evaluate reliability reservoir. Grading seepage prevention (GSP) measures suction substrate are considered, well infiltration different rainfall water levels. We numerically simulate typical three forms under conditions conduct a reliable comprehensive evaluation slopes. This study shows that analysis condition 1 indicates factor safety (FS) slope lag effect GSP can improve FS slope, but not significantly for slope. 2 weakening increases with intensity during process, while rebounds when stops. initial stability improves after measures, more sensitive changes in level. 3 overall trend displacement small decrease followed sharp increase. negatively correlated change total displacement, general slight increase After GSP, about 3% decreases 87%, 41%, 66%.

Numerical Computation of Homogeneous Slope Stability

To simplify the computational process of homogeneous slope stability, improve computational accuracy, and find multiple potential slip surfaces of a complex geometric slope, this study utilized the limit equilibrium method to derive expression equations of overall and partial factors of safety. This study transformed the solution of the minimum factor of safety (FOS) to solving of a constrained...

Numerical Analysis of Geocell Protective Slope Stability

Geocell protective slope is a kind of important ecological protection form, which is widely used in the geotechnical engineering field. Based on the finite element software ABAQUS, and combining with protective slope body’s mechanics performance in shallow soil, the finite element model of geocell slope protection is established under the conditions of rainfall seepage, and then we simulate the...

Three Dimensional Transient Seepage and Slope Stability Analysis of Landslide Dam

Synopsis The failure of landslide dam formed by mass movements may occur by sudden sliding of the dam body. So, this study focuses on three-dimensional (3D) transient seepage and slope stability analysis of landslide dam. The 3D slope stability model coupled with transient seepage flow model is used for numerical simulations. Experiments are performed in the flume to measure movement of moistur...

Soil and Rock Slope Stability Analysis based on Numerical Manifold Method and Graph Theory

Limit equilibrium method, strength reduction method and Finite Difference Methods are the most prevalently used methods for soil and rock slope stability analysis. However, it can be mention that those have some limitations in practical application. In the Limit equilibrium method, the constitutive model cannot be considered and many assumptions are needed between slices of soil and rock. The s...

Numerical probabilistic analysis for slope stability in fractured rock masses using DFN-DEM approach

Due to existence of uncertainties in input geometrical properties of fractures, there is not any unique solution for assessing the stability of slopes in jointed rock masses. Therefore, the necessity of applying probabilistic analysis in these cases is inevitable. In this study a probabilistic analysis procedure together with relevant algorithms are developed using Discrete Fracture Network-Dis...
